Participation in the Application Development Cohort (ADC) is required to receive NYU's nomination for the Churchill, Marshall, McCall MacBain, Michel David-Weill, Mitchell, and Rhodes Scholarships. Participation in the program is also encouraged for students interested in applying for the Gates Cambridge, Knight-Hennessy, Luce, and Schwarzman Scholarships.
Reviewers will be looking for ingredients that may make you a strong candidate for these awards. These include academic, professional, or extracurricular engagement around the issues you care about, demonstrated leadership, and a well-defined sense of vision and purpose.
The ADC will run throughout the summer, and participants will meet weekly to work on application materials, conduct peer review, develop their personal narratives, and more. The Cohort is designed to develop skills that will be relevant to pursuits beyond these scholarships, including graduate school, internships, and career pursuit.
The application is due no later than 11:59pm ET on April 3, 2023.
This program is only for NYC-based students. Abu Dhabi and Shanghai students should work with the Director of Global Awards on your respective campuses, as the processes are different.
